Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Founder as well as VIT Chancellor – Dr.G.Viswanathan. He has been unanimously elected as Indian Economic Association President during the last week of December 2017.
Update – VIT Chancellor has also hosted the very first Indian Economic Association meeting at Vellore during December 2018. It is the very first IEA meeting that was held at Tamil Nadu. The meeting that held for two days was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Governor Shri.Banwarilal Purohit. Notably, Dr.G.Viswanathan had celebrated his 80th Birthday during this event.
