About Vellore:
About Vellore – Vellore formerly called as Rayavellur is the administrative headquarters of Vellore district. In addition, it is also known as the historic and city of independence. India’s first Sipoy Mutiny revolt took place in 1806 against British for Indian Independence at Vellore.
It is the only city located between two metro cities i.e Chennai and Bangalore. It also homes top educational institutes like Christian Medical College (CMC College and Hospital) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). Apart from that it also has the famous Sripuram Golden Temple, the only Hindu Golden Temple in India.
